About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while contributing to the business’s strategic growth plans. You will be hands-on in producing accurate financial information, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving improvements in financial processes.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will also provide insights that support decision-making and help guide the business through its next phase of expansion.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting
Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures
Provide management accounts, variance analysis, and financial commentary to the leadership team
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Mentor and develop a small finance team, instilling a culture of accuracy and accountability
Contribute to system improvements and automation projects to enhance efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical and commercial acumen
Previous experience within an SME or fast-growing business, ideally in technology or related sectors
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
Ability to operate strategically while also being hands-on
Excellent communication skills, able to influence at board level
A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment
