About the Role

As Solar Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the pre-installation process, conducting site visits to assess the feasibility of solar projects. You will be responsible for gathering technical data, evaluating roof structures, and ensuring accurate measurements to inform system design. This role requires technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Specialising in solar PV and related technologies, the company is focused on delivering sustainable solutions to both residential and commercial clients. To support increased demand, they are looking for a Solar Surveyor to join their team, conducting site assessments and helping to scope projects effectively.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys to assess suitability for solar PV installations

  • Measure roof dimensions, orientation, and shading to inform system design

  • Assess structural integrity and highlight potential challenges

  • Prepare detailed reports and provide accurate data for design teams

  • Liaise with customers, explaining the installation process and answering queries

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures during surveys

  • Maintain accurate records of site visits and survey outcomes


Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in surveying, roofing, or renewable energy desirable

  • Knowledge of solar PV systems an advantage (training provided if required)

  • Strong technical and mathematical skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Confident communicator, able to engage with customers on site

  • Full UK driving licence required
